While undertaking an artist residency with the collective Heavy Water at G39 in Cardiff, Maud Haya-Baviera talks to Jane Henderson, Professor of Conservation at Cardiff University, and Sara Huws, Civic Engagement Officer at the Special Collections (Cardiff University), about the importance of developing sustainable practices when considering the conservation of artefacts. She also meets with Anthony Shapland, who, among many other roles, is Creative Director at G39. Together they discuss how artist-run spaces can propose a different kind of institution, able to provide resilience and sustainability in the cultural sector. And finally, Maud speaks with Joanna Whittle and Victoria Lucas, with whom she forms the collective Heavy Water, about how artists' collaborations can help sustain an artistic practice.
