Sheffield General Cemetery In-Conversation

The Heavy Water Col­lec­tive under­took an inten­sive research res­i­den­cy at Sheffield Gen­er­al Ceme­tery in August 2022. Fund­ed by the Place and Com­mu­ni­ties Research Group at the Uni­ver­si­ty of Cen­tral Lan­cashire, the project will focus on his­tor­i­cal nar­ra­tives through the botan­i­cal, geo­log­i­cal, mytho­log­i­cal and archi­tec­tur­al mate­ri­al­i­ties encoun­tered.
There was an infor­mal launch event on Wednes­day 17^th August between 6pm and 8pm, which start­ed with a talk by the Heavy Water Col­lec­tive, fol­lowed by refresh­ments and a chance to look at the research arte­facts devel­oped as part of this long term col­lab­o­ra­tive project.
